Confirmation Class Retreat
September 28-29, 2001

We left Somerville and drove to Pastor Gretchen's country home outside of Ellenville, NY. We arrived and got settled and Mike sang songs with his guitar. Then we all got out our special things. After we shared about those, we had a snack and went to bed.

The next morning we woke up around 8:00 and ate bacon and blueberry pancakes. Pastor Gretchen had different groups read and discuss different parables: The Banquet, The Prodigal Son and the Lost Coin and Lost Sheep. Who was God in each of the parables?

After that we went on a walk and collected things that reminded us of God in nature.

We took all of the things and put them on sticky paper to make beautiful bookmarks.

Then we ate a nice lunch where we celebrated Freddie's birthday with cookies and brownies.

We packed everything in the cars and made one last stop at the Roundout Reservoir to take pictures.
